Mae Capel y Graig yn gyffro i gyd i groesawu Athroniaeth Wyllt:
Gwallgofi, Rhedeg, Darllen, prosiect gan Joanne Matthews fel rhan o
DIY 15: 2018, wedi ei greu gan LADA (Asiantaeth Datblygu Celfyddyd
Fyw – Live Art Development Agency) a’i gefnogi gan Peilot, Chapter.

‘Encilfa dwys cefn gwlad, damcaniaeth darllen ac athroniaeth i
fenywod sy’n betrus amdani, sianelu pync, egnïon gloddest a
hydymdeimledd radicalaidd….
Gall y byd academaidd fod yn lle hierarchaidd, llwchlyd o bŵer, lle
sy’n ymddangos llawer gwaith yn gyfyngedig. Mae’r DIY hwn ynglŷn
â thorri braint dosbarth a hil y byd academaidd a gwerthfawrogi
ymatebion i ddamcaniaethau darllen sy’n uniongyrchol, yn gorfforol
ac yn hwyliog. Mae’r chwaraewyr mawr ym myd damcaniaeth ac
athroniaeth yn aml yn wyn ac yn wryw; mae’r prosiect hwn yn
bwriadu ystumio’r perthynas pŵer hwn. Treuliwn ni amser yn
darllen athronwyr a meddylwyr sy’n fenyw ac sydd o amryfal
gefndiroedd hiliol.’ Joanne Matthews.

Capel y Graig is excited to host Wild Philosophy: Raving, Running, Reading, a project by Joanne Matthews as part of DIY 15: 2018, created by LADA (Live Art Development Agency) and supported by Peilot, Chapter.

‘An intensive rural retreat, reading theory and philosophy for women who are tentative to do so, channelling punk, rave energies and radical sensitivity….

The academic world can be a hierarchical and dusty place of power, a place that often feels exclusive. This DIY is about breaking down the class, and race privilege of academia and valuing responses to reading theories which are immediate, bodily and fun. The big players in theory and philosophy are often white and male, this project aims distort this power relationship. We will spend time reading philosophers and thinkers who are female, from diverse racial backgrounds.’ Joanne Matthews.

Chwiliwch yma i wybod rhagor ac am sut i ymgeisio; dyddiad cau
buan am geisiadau ; 5yh dydd Llyn, Mehefin 18 fed .

Y LLYFRGELL ACHUB

8/9fed of Fedi 2018

Achup – gafael neu ddaliad (o dir)
Achubion – y pethau sy’n goroesi, neu gael eu cadw/arbed

Pa lyfrau wnewch chi achub?

Yn aml, ystyrir casgliadau llyfrgell yn bethau parhaol a pharhaus, cronfa o wybodaeth sydd rhywsut yn dragwyddol ac yn ddigyfnewid.

Ond pwy sydd yn penderfynnu pa wybodaeth sy’n cael ei chasglu?

Dros benwythos ym mis Medi eleni mae Capel y Graig yn eich gwahodd i gyd-greu Y LLYFRGELL ACHUB, sef casgliad dros dro o lyfrau gan fenywod, sydd wedi’u dewis gan fenywod ac yn cael eu darllen yn uchel gan fenywod….lle i gyfarfodydd annisgwyl a ffurfweddau eginol.

THE SAVED LIBRARY

Ceredigion 8th / 9th September 2018

Sauver – to keep (safe), protect, redeem
Salvus – reserve for future use

Which books will you save…?

Library collections are often imbued with a sense of permanency, a repository of knowledge that is categorised, fixed and eternal.

But who decides what material should be collected?

For one weekend this September Capel y Graig invites you to help create The Saved Library… An ephemeral collection… a temporary assemblage of books written by women, chosen by women, read aloud by women…a space for unexpected encounter and emergent configurations.

A project by Christine Watkins, Avi Allen ac Naomi Heath

BE AWARE PRODUCTIONS

27/28 Ebrill/April/Nisan 2018

Mae Capel y Graig yn falch iawn i groesawu Be Aware Productions

After being forced to leave their Country four years ago for political reasons, Turkish artists Meltem Arikan, Pınar Öğün and Memet Ali Alabora decided to settle in Cardiff due to Meltem’s ‘obsession’ with Wales. Be Aware Productions was founded in 2015 by actress and director Pınar Öğün and has since created innovative performing and audio-visual art works. The Company’s latest project is supported by the Arts Council of Wales and the Peliot,Associate Artist Programme, Chapter, Cardiff and will explore notions of belonging and identity to develop a Welsh/Turkish Language play in collaboration with Chapter and Theatr Genedlaethol. The project will adopt an experimental process of touring research rehearsals during which the company will develop a relationship with venues and local communities across Wales using shared diverse experiences and thoughts to inform the development of the play.

I BLE RWYT TI’N PERTHYN? / NEREYE AITSIN? / WHERE DO YOU BELONG?

Dewch i weithdai ledled Cymru er mwyn datblygu drama Gymraeg a Thwrceg am berthyn a hunaniaeth. Da ni eisiau clywed eich straeon a fyddwn ni yn rhannu ein hanes ni.

Aidiyet ve Kimlik üzerine bir tiyatro oyunu için Galler’de seyirci paylaşımlari projesi. Sizin de hikayelerinizi dinlemek, kendilerimizinkileri paylaşmak istiyoruz. Bize katılın!

Join us for workshops all over Wales to develop a play in Welsh and Turkish about belonging and identity. We want to hear your stories and we’ll share a little of our history too.

These are not ‘Acting’ workshops as such, and there is no expectation for the attendees to ‘perform’. During the workshops or research rehearsals the company will share parts of the the play in its early form and those present will be invited to share their own experiences and thoughts of belonging and identity which will then be fed back into the rehearsals and contribute to the ongoing development of the play. These workshops will provide an interesting and exciting chance to be involved in an experimental collaboration between audience and theatre company to produce a play.
Whilst the company are keen to hear from Welsh speakers…ALL ARE WELCOME.
